Honestly, I think your point about the student presenting a consistent, cohesive picture of himself was important. For many kids and parents (as you obviously know) the tendency is to try to hit all of targets as hard as possible each on an individual basis, and that likely does not ring true on the other end.

I just wanted to check in and report that S is doing great and could not be happier than she is at Penn. I was with her in NYC this weekend on the back end of a business trip, so I had a good amount of time with her. (Funny how inviting her up for a play or two gets her attention.) She did great academically last semester, is making good friends and has joined the sorority this semester.

Working with Ada has been extremely rewarding during the admissions process. Having to disclose previous legal matters to law schools caused some concern as to whether I would be accepted or not. Make no mistake, you have to do all of the legwork but the assistance you get is impeccable.
